Many women believe that they need to put a lot of make-up on because they will be in videos and photos. However, what many brides fail to take into account is the long life of the video and photos that will be taken on your wedding day! You’ll be seeing yourself for years to come. You’ll want to make sure that you are as happy 15 years from now with your photos as you are today. Here are 10 things you may want to consider:
1. Brides will wear too much make-up. Yes, it is your big day and you feel you want to impressive everyone, but less is truly more.
2. Brides can lean towards a current make-up trend. Remember that you will be treasuring these photos for years to come. Make your look a timeless and classic look.
3. Brides will try to wear a style of make-up that isn’t a true representation of them. You want to stay true to who you really are. If you don’t typically wear a lot of make-up, don’t overdo it on your wedding day.
4. All of the bridal party members don’t need to wear the same make-up. Let your wedding party wear what looks best on each of them.
5. Let the Mothers be who they are as well. Most Mothers feel they need to please their children, so they will wear make-up that doesn’t feel right. Letting Mothers be themselves will make them much more comfortable on your big day.
6. Don’t try to tackle too many changes and repairs just before your wedding day. One week before the big event is not the ideal time to get peels, teeth whitening, or different types of tans. You may end up with acne flair-ups, sore gums or blotchy tan marks.
7. Don’t forget your extra supplies, such as extra make-up and hairspray. Your make-up won’t last a whole day without being refreshed.
8. Don’t try to pull of a look that doesn’t fit with your dress or theme. Some women may try for a sultry look but the dress is ultra modern.
9. Don’t go for the overly dewy look. Shiny cheeks don’t look that great in photos.
10. Leave the gloss for another day. You’ll be kissing a lot of people on your wedding day. Stick to creamy or matte lipstick.
